Motivational Post

I sometimes struggle to stick to this diet, like anything else, you get bored if you're not changing it up and trying new things.
Found a few pics, posted below, that help spur me on when I hit the wall. What do you do to get yourself motivated again?

Documenting Progress

I was feeling a little deflated at only being at One Stone after 13 weeks. But then actually putting these up on the fridge and seeing it in front of me made me feel a lot better, slow progress is better than no progress and I need to realise that!

Transformation Tuesday!

Was feeling a little down so thought i'd look for an old photo to give me a boost. Completely forgot about this but can't believe the difference!

I am about 2.5 stone lighter now than I was back then, a stone of that is since joining SW.
So good to see how far I've come. Approx 1st 10lbs still to go!

Feel Good

So far via SW I have lost 1 stone. It may have taken me a little while longer but I really don't mind. I often hid my stomach and that area as i've never been comfortable with it being on show. I wore long tops, floaty dresses and the like. It's amazing what losing a bit of weight can do. I still have a way to go but I can finally wear something like this and actually feel comfortable doing so. I love it.

If there is anyone on Instagram you can follow my journey there too! Username: doylie_sw

Breakfast. SW style.

Doing SW I have found I actually eat a lot more food now than I did before, I have more energy because I'm eating a lot better, and I'm actually enjoying exercise.

MADNESS!

I love having time to make things like this at the weekends, as during the week is usually Overnight Oats or something similar as I don't have time!

I know this isn't quite 1/3 speed food, but I don't mind as I also ended up having a bowl of strawberries not long after, and everyone deserves a treat right?!
all of this for about 1.5 syns, and that's just for the sauce! I can live with that!

One Stone.

Finally, it took me 13 weeks but I got there!
14lbs gone and not coming back!
I bought size 12 clothes for my holidays thinking I would have time to fit into them, and tried them on last night to see how far I have to go. I was in shock when they already fit! Just need to tone up now.

24lbs still to lose!

Fakeaway Special

The hardest part about my diet this week was wanting to eat loads of takeaway food and not spend time making it.
So glad I made this though.
It was all completely syn free and just as nice, if not nicer, than the takeaway would have been!

The doner meat recipe I use is the following:

1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried italian herbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 black pepper
500g 5% fat mince

Simply combine all the ingredients thoroughly and cook in the oven on about 180 degrees for 1 hour, turning at least once.

I just used Cumin, Cinammon, Tikka Powder etc for the chicken, and spiced it to my taste.

And popped the veg under the grill for approx 8 mins each side.

Whats your favourite fakeaway?

Race For Life

Had a fantastic day at Race For Life yesterday, the comparison pic above really shocked me. The left is from the Manchester 10k last year and the right is from today. I actually weighed half a stone LIGHTER on the left hand picture but was obviously carrying it all in the wrong places, whereas now, I seem to have lost the inches where it matters and actually look slimmer than what I am. Anyone else noticed this?

Weight & Inches Lost!

So I've managed to lose 11lbs in 11 weeks. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gutted. But to see that I've managed to also shed 7 inches is fantastic. I think the biggest change is my smile.
I'm finally becoming comfortable in my own skin again, I don't care how long it takes me to get there, I now feel like I can.

Don't give up.
